🇬🇧 Programme 13-Novembre: 10 years later, what does it teach us?
November 13, 2015 remains a date deeply engraved in our collective memory: 132 lives lost, more than 350 wounded, and attacks whose scale shook France to its core. Ten years later, we commemorate an event that continues to resonate within us, whether we experienced it firsthand or from afar.
In the face of this national trauma, one question arose: how do individual, collective, and social memories interplay after such an intense shock?
To shed light on these issues, the Programme 13-Novembre, was launched in April 2016, led by historian Denis Peschanski (CNRS) and neuropsychologist Francis Eustache (Inserm). For nearly ten years, historians, neuroscientists, psychologists, and sociologists have combined their expertise to decipher how we remember—as individuals, but also as a society—and how these memories influence our ability to overcome trauma.
Nearly a decade after the start of this interdisciplinary research, Denis Peschanski looks back in a dedicated interview.
This interview offers a preview of our webinar on Wednesday, November 19, during which he will present the November 13 Program in more detail, along with its progress and the initial conclusions of this major project. Prepare your questions and register !
🖥️ See you online on Wednesday, November 19, from 1p.m. to 2p.m.
