In recent weeks, Guillaume Stahl, General Delegate of CNRS alumni, was invited to speak at the France Alumni Days (FAD) held at the French Embassies in Copenhagen, Brussels, and Bern. During these events, he participated in roundtable discussions and gave presentations focused on international career paths, scientific cooperation, and the links between research, innovation, and society.
These events also provided an opportunity to introduce the CNRS alumni network to communities of researchers, former students, and academic and institutional partners who are particularly committed to scientific relations between France and their host countries.

« In Copenhagen, I had the pleasure of introducing Søren Fournais, CNRS Fellow Ambassador, to the research community in Denmark, and of engaging in lively conversation with Bernard Henrissat, a member of the French Academy of Sciences and a specialist in glycobiology, as well as numerous prominent figures in the international scientific community. In Brussels, discussions continued with Yvan de Launoit, Deputy Director of CNRS Biology and a key player in bilateral cooperation, as well as with Joseph Akame, an alumnus of the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) program and the CNRS, who shared his experience as an alumnus. In Bern, discussions with the Sorbonne University alumni network opened up promising opportunities for cooperation between our respective communities. Beyond individual meetings, these visits underscore the value of strengthening ties with professionals who have worked at the CNRS and are now active in universities, research organizations, companies, or public institutions around the world. » | Alumni Day 2026 in Copenhague Joseph Akame, France Alumni Evening Belgium Roundtable, Alumni Day 2026 in Bern |
